Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 10/9/2025

1. Introduction
Welcome to Adventure Data Consulting (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We provide data-collection services, including form design for law enforcement agencies and development of data collection applications (e.g. Android apps). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information—or, more precisely, how we do not handle personal data—when you visit our website or use our services.

We recognize and respect the importance of privacy. We do not collect, maintain, or otherwise process personal data of individuals in the connection with our services (except as explicitly agreed with the agencies we work with). When we do handle data for clients, it is under their direction and is stored in their systems, not ours.

By visiting our website or using our services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part, please do not use our services or website.

2. What We Do & Don’t Collect

  • No personal data from end users:
We do not collect or store personal data (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, social security numbers, biometric data, etc.) about individuals using our forms or apps, unless explicitly required by and directed by our client agency.

  • Client-provided data:
In some cases, client agencies may direct us to handle data (e.g. for technical support, debugging, backup, or migration). In such cases, the client agency controls what data is handled, stored, or accessed. We act purely as a service provider and do not mine, analyze, share, or use the data beyond fulfilling the tasks requested by the client.

  • Technical & usage metadata (on our website):
When you visit our website (adventuredataconsulting.com or similar), we may automatically collect standard web analytics data (e.g. your browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps). This helps us improve the website. This data is anonymous or aggregated and is not associated with personally identifying data about you.

  • Cookies & tracking (on website):
Our website may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to measure usage, manage sessions, or detect fraud. These are standard non-identifying tools (e.g. session cookies, analytics cookies). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some website features may not function properly if you do so.

3. Legal Basis & Compliance

Because we normally do not collect personal data, many of the typical legal bases under data protection laws (e.g. consent, contract, legitimate interest) are not invoked for our data processing. However:

  • To the extent we handle data on behalf of a client agency (as a processor), we do so strictly under the direction of the client and pursuant to a contract or agreement that sets out roles, responsibilities, security safeguards, and confidentiality.

  • We strive to comply with applicable privacy laws (for example, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU residents, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the U.S., and other local or regional data protection regulations). Because our business model involves not storing or accessing personal data, our compliance obligations are relatively modest, but we aim to act transparently and responsibly.

4. Data Security

Even though we minimize or eliminate the storage of personal data, any systems, code, or infrastructure we maintain are secured with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. This includes encryption, least-privilege access controls, secure transmission (e.g. TLS/SSL), logging, and monitoring.

When we access or move client data (at their direction), we follow best practices to protect it during transit and (if applicable) at rest.

5. Third Parties & Service Providers

We may engage third-party providers (e.g. hosting, infrastructure, analytics, or tools) to support our website or services. These providers may process non-identifiable metadata (e.g. website usage metrics), but we do not permit them to use the data in a way that identifies individuals or for their own marketing.

We require that third parties comply with privacy and confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under any other threshold required by local law). Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly solicit or store personal data from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware of their child providing personal information contrary to this policy, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete such data.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy over time (for instance, if our business model or services evolve). When we make changes, we will post the new version on our website and update the “Last Updated” date. If a change is material (i.e. significantly changes how we handle data), we will notify clients and, where appropriate, users in advance.

You are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
